Horse Riding
The West National Park is strictly protected meaning off-road motor cars and bikes are forbidden. However, exploring the park on horseback is fine. This mode of travel allows visitors to comfortably approach the wildlife and navigate rugged terrain, including fords and muddy marches that would otherwise be inaccessible.
The guides will tailor make each trip to suit riding styles and competence.
Bike Rides & Trekking
Explore the forests on foot or by mountain bike. Through the keen eyes of guides, you will spot all sorts of flora and fauna that are guaranteed to delight. The quiet and unobtrusive Luwak sleep in shady spots high up in the trees, as does the secretive, yet stunningly beautiful leopard cat.
See colourful birds, recognise eagle calls, and learn jungle lore, plants, herbs, and natural medicines.
Bird Watching
The white Bali Starling was nearly extinct as recently as 2005, prompting concerted conservation efforts to save the bird. With over 120 bird species, The West National Park is a bird watcher’s dream paradise, offering immense diversity.
Whether you are staying in the villa or explore the surrounding parks, there is much to discover for all avid enthusiasts.
